Confronting Racial Bias In Maternal DeathsThe i.D.R.E.A.M. Interprofessional education team is comprised of well-grounded knowledge experts with a 360 degree perspective of education, training and skill-building from an interdisciplinary lens. We are “head and heart” thought leaders who bridge the lived experience with the science, scholarship and the business of improving healthcare delivery. As cultural humility practitioners, we reimagine the Black maternal and infant health narrative with storytelling and data sharing and reframe the conversation from death and dying (mortality and morbidity) to healing and hope throughout the life course. Our conference presentations, panel discussions, keynotes, faculty research collaborations, guest lecturing and community talks continue to agitate and accelerate hospital systems change in the present.
